About Michelle
Michelle Weeks is the owner/operator of Central Texas Professional Electrolysis. She maintains an active, in good-standing Registered Nurse license in Texas, an active California electrology license, and maintains her credentials as a board-certified professional electrologist. Michelle serves the American Electrology Association (AEA) as editor of The Journal of Electrology and as the lead for the Association’s Infection Prevention Standards.
Michelle began her electrology training under some of Texas’s most respected electrologists in Austin and Arlington. She then completed advanced, comprehensive training in all modalities—with a special emphasis on manual blend—at the Monterey Bay Institute of Electrology, one of the most highly regarded electrology schools in the United States.
Her professional background includes many years of experience in oral and maxillofacial surgery, including work as a private surgical scrub in the OR and as an office nurse. In addition, she maintained her national Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) credentials for 40 years. While working full-time in oral surgery, Michelle also worked part-time in general dentistry and had several years of experience providing operatory setup and 4-handed chairside assistance for Oklahoma (OU) graduate dental students on their Oklahoma State Dental Board Exams.
Michelle is also a former Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) and worked as an RN, CCRC in oral surgery, podiatry, and dysmenorrhea Phase 2-Phase 4 studies. Before becoming an electrologist, she also worked as a neurology staff nurse at Carolina’s Medical CenterThis depth of clinical experience informs every aspect of her electrology practice, from safety and precision to patient comfort and outcomes.
Michelle has provided care to a wide range of clients, including physicians, nurses, attorneys, professors, and fellow electrologists, and is known for her meticulous technique, ethical standards, and commitment to evidence-based practice.
